Philippine Schools Get Alerted for Swine Flu

Our school was supposed to start last June 8 but the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) ordered a memorandum to postpone the opening to June 15 or under the authority of the school administration due to Swine Flu alert.

As I type, there are about 50 cases of Swine Flu cases in the country. In the local city of General Santos, we have zero case however, we can only be vigilant of this disease.

The World Health Organization has more than 12,500 cases of AH1N1 in 43 countries since April with 91 mortality cases.

So, everyone is enjoined to be aware and alert especially in public areas like schools as swine flu is airborne - carried.
