Top 10 Ways to Kick Depression
Adopted from Funzug.com email.

First trick:
Get out of your head and into your feet.
The body craves movement. Exercise really works. Let's not think of it as exercise though. Nothing is gnarlier to the depressed person than imagining him/herself at the gym in ill fitting sweats, panting on the stair master while svelte athletes are bopping around in all directions.
As Woody Allen says, 90% of success is showing up. Once we've got our walking shoes on, once we get endorphins cooking, the doldrums have less power to penetrate .
Second Trick:
Turn on music! Now!
I recommend that my clients have an arsenal of inspiring and fun music at their fingertips.
I have even been known to make CD's for my clients. When we're depressed, the smallest task feels overwhelming. . If I can kick-start someone's joy, then I am thrilled.
Third Trick:
Turn on the light and sit in the sun.
Many of us work in windowless cubicles or offices, and wonder why we feel blue.
This time of year, when the sun sets earlier, we must 's dark out in autumn and winter, get a light, get some sun, get some more sun. And if there is no sun in your world, then buy a full-spectrum light. Get one cheap on E-bay.
Fourth Trick:
Hang out with 4-leggeds. (Unless of course, you're allergic)
Having an animal companion near can instantly release oxytocin, that magical hormone that we secrete when we fall in love, give birth, or are nursing. It releases a feeling of goodwill, or trust in the world.
OK, so not all of all are blessed to be in love all the time, or be breast feeding, so I recommend my clients find other ways to bring on the joy chemical. Read on.
Fifth Trick:
Change your thoughts. Right now.
We have around 60,000.00 thoughts per day. 87% of them are negative and are the same thoughts we had yesterday.
Experiencing joy is a deliberate choice. Joy takes practice. Joy is hardcore.
I use realistic affirmations, which, at times are posted all over my room. Notice I said realistic.
We must remember that affirmations don't make something happen, they make something welcome.
People tell me, "I put an affirmation up on my bedroom wall, saying:" I am ready to meet a gorgeous, successful, charming man who will adore and worship me." It's been 3 months. Where is he?" I tell them; "You have made yourself more open to meeting this human. Finding him is another story. Sorry."
Sixth Trick:
Follow a joyous lifestyle. Choose joyous entertainment.
Find a class, a workout, anything that gets you in your body, preferably sweating a bit.
Seventh Trick:
Affirm joy with words.
Rudyard Kipling said "I am by calling a dealer in words.. And words are by far the most powerful drug in the world". It may seem trite, but changing the way we speak can be extremely influential in changing our moods.
Eighth Trick:
Grab hold of a goal.
Make it a do-able one. Happiness and joy come from goals. We mustn't put off our lives.
Ninth Trick:
Cultivate a relationship with the divine.
We are whom our higher self wanted to experience.
There is some truth to the pithy phrase: There's no aetheists in foxholes.
Have a smidgens of faith and the world can be a gentler space..
Tenth Trick:
Choose joyous companions.
When we are depressed, we take our bored, sluggish selves wherever we go. We need distractions. We need company. We need intimacy. It is very important to be around authentic people. We need someone who believes in us. No nay-sayers!

Work on Your Assignments Right Away
I hate to work on last minute time since they make me more panicky and usually, the actions or end-results are not at all effective if not disastrous.
So, I usually do my work assignments as they come so that I have enough time to plan how to make the assignment easier and correct. But, somehow, even if I want to follow this norm, reality dictates that I have to beat deadlines at very limited time. I can feel all the pressure that I just want to wallow the tension through eating.
Goodness, I can feel my lumps getting bigger from too much stress and eating that I want to consider best weight loss pill to at least reduce my weight.
Stress is indeed one of the causes of weight problems. I even miss my regular biking, jogging and in-line blades because of hectic work even during weekend.

EQ Is As Important as IQ
Working now with businessmen, government units and other stakeholders has made my new job more difficult. I had seen how ideal objectives can be defeated by corrupt character of some individuals, too purposeful just like pressure washers in a typical arena, wiping anything on the surface. Quite an analogy, huh!
But, I don't want to give up on what I originally bound to do. I only pray that I will make through with the support of the family and those who want to make our office better.
I can only cross my finger, pray hard but work harder.

Vacation for Teachers and All
One of the jobs that I consider as overwork but underpay is teaching. In the Philippines, a regular teacher will only have a pay rate of 7000.00($152) - 12,000.00($260) monthly for an 8-hour job, not counting the overtime that a teacher renders when preparing lectures at night or checking bundles of papers.
So, as a former teacher, I would want to enjoy my vacation through Caribbean cruises. And since, I have been handling a more stressful job, a vacation shall be most welcomed.
My family and I are saving for a vacation and I do love Carribean Islands a lot. Should we have the resources, I would want to go island hopping with the cruise, enjoy good food, have fun with the cruise amenities and meet new friends.
I will definitely enjoy crystal clear waters of the Carribean sea and savor nature at its best. Hawaii shall be one of my destinations too.

Don't Throw Your Floppy Disks
My generation is the time when we still used floppy disks of 5" and 3.5". But these are less popular if not totally gone. Flash disks and much smaller-but-spacious drives prevail the trends. But, don't throw your old disks because there is another way of using these.

Work on Field
As part of our Sarangani Chamber of Commerce and Industry programs, we scheduled a business consultation with key businesses in seven municipalities in the province. I had to be on rubber shoes and pants to at least be comfortable with the area since the venue was on hill top, farther from the municipal center.
Since our province requires much exposure on the countyside and our chamber has to localize the event to get more participation, clothing like equestrian apparel helps.
It is a struggle to me to manage the chamber but somehow, help from leaders' matters a lot.

Relax If You Can
What do you do when you are all busy with office and school requirements? I am quite a restless woman. So, rest is not really a typical word for me but whenever I can and whenever my time permits, I usually spend my time jogging, mountain biking, reading good books and watching movies.
Sometimes, my friends would play some physical recreations, play piano, shop malls or go to spa houses. I personally agree that we need to cool down to get recharged for our work or school.
My blogs are one of the ways that keep me relaxed. It is nice to know that through blogging my writing skills are harnessed and my mental being rejuvenated.

Cool Down On Paper Piles
After shifting from a very laid-back work of being a teacher to a complex-dynamic admin desk, I can say, I become insane most of the time with all the works and pressures of being the head.
However, I have to keep my sanity intact if I want things done the right way. Perhaps, this is only temporary since I just started with the job, but I really wish I can finally get used to their procedures and be not lost anymore.
Good luck to me!

Remedy Your Homework Traffic
Whenever possible, if school or office home works are given ahead, it is wiser to act on them promptly than cramming yourself with deadlines. By becoming prompt, you get to have ample time to research and review your works. This shall increase the quality of your endeavors.
Also, maximize your free time well. So, if works are done at school or office during idle time, you get to rest early and to have fun after a draining day.

I Miss School a Lot
It has been three weeks since I left my a job as a college teacher. I get to like the people around my new job since we have to share an office with Department of Trade and Industry Provincial Area.
I battled with proposals, letters and meetings. I truly miss the time when I can just go back to our store and think of ways how I can increase my store's revenues. Also, there were times when I could just bring my kid to our local park and enjoy the city's swing sets.
I get used to drafting and making a lot of paper works and I shall however, remain hopeful about my new job. It is quite different from the school environment that I was all used to and comfortable with. If I have accomplished enough to prove my worth, I shall go back to teaching and business again. For the moment, I let my sister manage our boutique.
