How Do Students from Yolanda - Afflicted Tacloban Go to School

UP Visayas - Tacloban College amidst Yolanda wreck
After few weeks since Typhoon Yolanda has caused tremendous havoc to Visayas particularly Tacloban and Leyte where thousands have died, perished and with properties all lost to storm surge, the question now is how these victims can finally move on.

The national government along with NGOs and other entities here and abroad had made  cash / service donations to make the afflicted areas move on and that include providing them food, health services, communication and temporary shelters among others.

But, as a teacher, I ask how students can resume to schooling. Well, I guess with the devastation on the schools, it would take awhile before these students can resume with formal schooling.

The University of the Philippines (UP) president however released a memorandum allowing UP Visayas to cross enroll to other UP schools, so, the typhoon victim can resume another semester.

As kids need to overcome the tremendous  effect of the typhoon, help is provided for them but we can only hope that building and structures  and other means be given, so, students can go back to school and finally resume with their normal life.
